Four foreign animators to judge Iranian festival

TEHRAN, Feb. 21 (MNA) -- Four foreign animators and an Iranian animation expert were selected as the jury members for the International Section of the Fifth Tehran International Animation Festival, which will be held from February 25 to March 1.

 

Olivier Catherin (from France), Nancy Mary (Canada), Otto Alder (Switzerland), Borivoj Dovnikovic (Croatia), and Abdollah Alimorad (Iran) are the jury members.

 

Catherin is the coordinator of the International Animation Day on behalf of the Association Internationale du Film d'Animation (ASIFA, International Animated Film Association).

 

He is also a member of the Board of Directors of AFCA -- Association Française du Cinéma d'Animation.

 

Mary is the director of the marketing section of the National Film Board of Canada in Europe and Africa.

 

Co-founder of the Fantouche International Animation Film Festival, Alder is advisor for several international events.

 

Dovnikovic is one of the officials of the Zagreb World Festival of Animated Films. From 1994 to 2000 he served as ASIFA's secretary general.

 

Alimorad is the author of several books on animation and has won many awards at prestigious international events.
